Post Production Engineer Program Overview
The Post Production Engineer Program is an advanced, multi-disciplinary program designed to develop both the technical and operational skills required to support modern post-production environments. This program integrates editorial workflows, media management, system configuration, and engineering principles across industry-standard platforms.
Students gain hands-on experience working with Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, and Adobe Premiere workflows, while also developing a deep understanding of shared storage systems, media pipelines, and post-production infrastructure. The program emphasizes how creative and technical processes intersect within professional production environments.
In addition to editorial and finishing workflows, students learn how to install, configure, and troubleshoot post-production systems, including hardware, software, storage, and network components. This prepares students to support both creative teams and technical operations within facilities ranging from boutique studios to enterprise-level environments.
Upon completion, students will be able to manage post-production workflows, support editing systems, and contribute to the design, operation, and maintenance of professional media production environments.
Students can also earn the title of Avid Certified Support Representative: Media Composer and Avid Certified Support Representative: NEXIS alongside special benefits direct from Avid with these courses. Includes two Avid Certification exams and five ebooks at no extra cost.
