ED320 Shortform Editorial Essentials Overview
This class introduces the student to the basics of the “quick cut” editing style. Students will get first-hand experience with magazine-style editing, a technique of stylizing cuts that spans across several forms including commercial ads, series spots, and other styles of shortform editing for broadcast television, film, and independent media productions. Tools such as Avid Media Composer will be utilized for creative editing and storytelling. This class will give the student an informative foundation in this very competitive, highly creative field.

Prerequisites
Completion of Media Composer Fundamentals I (MC101) or equivalent experience. A working knowledge of Windows or Macintosh operating systems. Experience in video production or post-production is recommended.
