Avid Media Composer Troubleshooting Workshop

Cost: $1425.00
Course Length: 16 Hours

MC405 Avid Media Composer Troubleshooting Workshop

“What should I do when Avid Media Composer presents a pop-up message?”

“Playback on your computer is causing errors. What should you do first?”

“Footage is inaccessible. What are possible reasons for this occurring?”

Most Editors who know their applications well may still be timid when their system inevitably malfunctions. The goal of this workshop is to create the troubleshooter mindset. This helps students understand how to ask better questions that will lead to quicker solutions so individuals and teams can work more efficiently.

Through lecture and real-life exercises, this 16-hour workshop will show how common (and not-so-common) issues are resolved by having participants ask questions and apply solutions but with time to slow down, discuss as a group, and analyze the circumstances in detail. We will discuss the process using Avid Media Composer with questions and answers that lead to the arrival of clearer, quicker solutions, which can be achieved in even the busiest of work environments. At the end of the workshop, participants are encouraged to demonstrate their newly learned skills individually and as part of a team.

Although the class centers on using Avid Media Composer, participants who complete the workshop will develop critical thinking skills and team player attributes applicable to other challenges that may cross their path, offering them better peace of mind in the workplace.
