VENDOR CERTIFICATION

Key Code Education is a recognized Avid Learning Partner and Blackmagic Design Certified Training Partner with a variety of Vendor-Authorized classes (including Adobe) taught by Vendor-Certified industry professionals, seen below.

These classes include curriculum straight from the Vendor – which also allows for students to take the accompanying Vendor Certification exams at no extra cost! These industry-recognized Certifications give you the edge to stand out among the rest and endorse your skills. Each class has its own exam and passing certain exams offer different Certifications. Avid Media Composer Certified | Specialist

Avid offers a number of Media Composer certifications, validating user skills from novice to expert, the first of which is the Avid Media Composer Certified User.

To gain the title of Avid Media Composer Certified User, you must take two foundational classes, Media Composer Fundamentals I (MC101) and Media Composer Fundamentals II (MC110), before sitting and passing the associated certification exams, as shown in the graphic below.

Avid Media Composer Certified | Professional

To operate in the fast-paced world of Post Production requires an understanding of the advanced tools within Media Composer and the workflows involved in creating professional programs is essential. Achieving the certification status of Avid Media Composer Certified Professional demonstrates the ability to use a wide range of advanced tools, including multi-camera and script-based editing, audio mixing and sound design, motion tracking and stabilization, combined with keys, mattes, and paint effects.

To gain the title of Avid Media Composer Certified Professional you must first take two further classes, Media Composer Professional Editing I (MC201) and Media Composer Professional Editing II (MC210) as well as be an Avid Media Composer Certified User before sitting and passing the associated certification exams, as shown in the graphic below.

Those who earn this designation will be featured on Avid’s online Certified Professional listing.

Avid Certified User for Pro Tools, providing an industry-recognized credential for both academic users and industry professionals. Becoming an Avid Certified User for Pro Tools verifies that you possess a fundamental understanding of and the capability to use Avid Pro Tools to engineer a project through to completion, with all of the fundamental operational skills to record, edit, mix and output the finished session.

To gain the title of Avid Certified User for Pro Tools, you must take two foundational courses, Pro Tools Fundamentals I (PT101) and Pro Tools Fundamentals II (PT110), before sitting and passing the associated certification exams, as shown in the graphic below.

Those who earn this designation will be featured on Avid’s online Certified Professional listing.

DaVinci Resolve Certifications

Each of our Resolve classes includes access to DaVinci Resolve certification exams. Upon completion of these exams, you will earn the following:

DR101 DaVinci Resolve Essentials – Certified User

DR201 DaVinci Editing and Finishing – Certified Editor

DR210 DaVinci Advanced Color Grading – Certified Colorist

 

ENGINEERING CERTIFICATION

At Key Code Education, you can become a Certified Engineer on systems like Avid Media Composer, NEXIS, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, and more. Many of our Engineering Certifications come as a direct Vendor Certification as well.

If you know us through Key Code Media, then you are likely familiar with our own team of engineers with decades of valuable hands-on experience. These specialists write our Engineering Certification classes to mirror their own technical mastery and share this highly-regarded expertise with our students.

Upon receiving a passing grade on your exam, you will receive your Certification straight from KCE and your chosen Vendor, if applicable.

 

The ACSR: Media Composer certification is designed for individuals working in an environment running Media Composer systems. Whether you want to be certified yourself, or certify your employees, this certification offers real value and significant benefits. Like all Avid certifications, it is recognized by top post-production, movie, television, and broadcast facilities worldwide and serves as validation of a person’s skills to get the job done.

The ACSR: Media Composer certification demonstrates that you have the technical and operational skills needed to install, manage, support and troubleshoot Avid Media Composer editing systems in any configuration, on the Macintosh or Windows platforms. As an ACSR, you become the front line of defense in keeping the facility running smoothly. If you need backup support, your ACSR status gains you access to Avid’s senior support team and will connect you to the worldwide community of Avid Certified Support Representatives.

The Avid Certified Support Representative (ACSR) for Avid NEXIS certification is designed for those personnel who are responsible for these high-performance, mission-critical systems.

Achieving the ACSR for Avid NEXIS certification status demonstrates an individual’s ability to install, configure, administer and support an Avid NEXIS system, along with the ability to connect, configure, and troubleshoot the system.

The Avid Certified Support Representative: Pro Tools certification is designed for individuals working to install, configure, and support Avid Pro Tools systems. The ACSR: Pro Tools certification is recognized worldwide by top music and post-production studios, as well as broadcast facilities, and serves as a validation of an individual’s skills and expertise with industry-standard Pro Tools.

The ACSR: Pro Tools certification validates you have the technical and operational skills needed to install, manage, support, and troubleshoot Avid Pro Tools systems regardless of platform or complexity of the rig.

Students will get a deep dive into file and color standards, multiple media management methods, far-reaching deliverable capabilities, and much more. Students will also examine different shared storage options, such as Blackmagic’s cloud storage, while also discussing shared workflows and building Resolve Project Servers. Included is a breakdown of different CPU and GPU options, software configurations of DaVinci Resolve, and all the extra applications that are available.

This is a brand new class for those seeking KCE+ Certification as a DaVinci Resolve technician.

Adobe Premiere Pro is a dynamic non-linear system that performs editorial, finishing, color correction, VFX, and much more with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. The goal of the PR400 class is to help understand the different ways Adobe Premiere Pro can be used and to be able to build the right system for the production. Students will get a deep dive into file standards, multiple media management methods, far-reaching deliverable capabilities using Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder, and much more.

This is a brand new class for those seeking KCE+ Certification as an Adobe technician.
