Working for union shows automatically guarantees set wages and work conditions. Field representatives are available to answer all your questions regarding rules pertaining to our contract and will ensure that all contractual provisions are adhered to on your behalf.

Post-Production Practice Facilities
Keep your skills up-to-date in our practice rooms. The facilities feature the most modern equipment, popular software, a comprehensive library and access to online training programs. A technical representative is available throughout your stay to answer questions and offer assistance. Reservations are required. Appointments can be made Monday – Friday and two weekends per month.

Training Courses
Training courses at participating facilities are also available to members in good standing (roster requirement may be applicable). The cost for these training courses is subsidized, but many of the facilities waive the cost entirely.

Available for Work List
We offer all prospective union employers 24/7 access to the Guild’s database of members’ resumes. Resumes are created and maintained online by the members themselves. The database search results include the member’s name, contact information, resume, skills, and references. Search functionality includes the ability to find members by classification, skills, region, language, and keyword.

CSATF

Contract Services Administration Trust Fund (“CSATF”) is a non-profit organization that administers a variety of programs for the benefit of the motion picture and television industry.

  • CSATF is provided for and governed by the collective bargaining agreement (Basic Agreement of 1996, Article XXV) by and between the Producers, The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (“IATSE”), the Moving Picture Technicians Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States, its Territories, and Canada (“MPTAAC”); as well as the collective bargaining agreements by and between the Producers and the Basic Crafts Locals (Article 18).
  • CSATF is administered by a Board of Trustees appointed by the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers (“AMPTP”).
  • Signatory Producers make contributions to CSATF for each hour worked by or guaranteed a covered employee.
  • CSATF provides full payment of continued education

One of CSATF’s functions is to administer and maintain the Industry Experience Roster (“IER” or “Roster”). The Roster lists the names of individuals who have acquired a certain amount of work experience (and, in some cases, additional requirements) within their specific craft as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement of each local. The Roster encompasses over 125 job classifications that span the jurisdiction of 19 locals within the motion picture and television industry. Individuals whose names appear on the Roster may receive preference of employment as producers signatory to the Basic Agreement and/or the Basic Crafts agreements utilize the Roster as an employment resource.
